This tour was amazing. Francescoe and Paola were incredible hosts, who really made everyone feel like family. Francescoe even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in his own car (for a small fee). We had a wonderful time and enjoyed everything about the trip.
It took a bit of time to get underway, as we needed to wait for everyone to pay. There were about 12 people on board, with room in the covered area of the boat for 6 and the rest of the people on the bow in the sun.
It was a long day, with three different stops to swim. At each stop we got a wonderful meal prepared by Paola. It was my first experience with authentic Italian food and it was amazing. Francescoe explained how all the food was locally sourced, and took time to explain everything in multiple languages.
We had a very festive group, and there was a lot of dancing and singing when we stopped to eat. Everyone got in the water (it was pretty hot in July) and floated around looking at the reefs. The tour covered all the major islands, and we got a good overview of the history of the region.
If you are spending any time in Northern Sardegna you can not spend your time any better than going on this tour. The food, the company, the views, the water.

Francescoe and Paola were a wonderful host and hostess—both shared their love for sailing, Sardinian culture and history and entertaining. They also offered an extensive and beautifully-presented variety of fresh, locally-sourced food and drink, which was served throughout the day like a multi-course meal, with explanations of each item and where it originated from. When they learned I was vegetarian, Paola quickly whipped up pesto pasta with tomatoes on the spot. While we were on the sea, we stopped at several islands and were able to swim in the crystal clear bays for extended periods—or stay on board, if we chose to. We also had the opportunity to take the dinghy ashore at Budelli Beach and see the protected pink sand up close. Francescoe and Paola treated our small group like we were family—and by the time the cruise was finished that evening, it had evolved into a very festive gathering. Highly recommend this unique and memorable experience!

An incredible day at sea was created by Francesco and Paola of Solevento Sailing Tour. The experience exceeded all expectations. The food prepared by Paola goes above and beyond what one could ever imagine. It was unforgettable, outstanding, and so beautifully prepared. Francesco was an outstanding captain that showed us the true beauty of La Maddalena. He and Paola were so warm and hospitable that we all felt like family. There is no better sailing tour in all of Sardinia than Solevento Sailing Tour! Thank you for creating a great and memorable day for us all!
