About this activity

The special thing about a catamaran is the generous amount of space. Whether comfortably on the trampoline nets or together with the skipper on the flybridge. Perhaps if you prefer to sit in the cockpit with a view of the wake, the trip to the anchorage will already be extraordinary. In the bay there are several options to choose from, whether swimming, snorkeling, trying the stand-up paddle or great conversations on board in the sun or in the shade. We experience a day of great impressions and don't look so closely at the clock on the way back.

Itinerary

  1. 1
    Stop 1

From the old city harbor we start our trip along the docks of the ferries and cruise ships as well as countless mussel farms. We pass 'La Isola Bocca' with its landmark, the lighthouse of Olbia. The Gulf of Olbia is now opening up giving us the opportunity to open the sails

  2. 2
    Golfo Aranci

Passing the Golfo Degli Aranci, we pass 'La Isola Di Figarolo', an island that rises directly from the sea without any shoals, with a size of 0.211 km². This island also has a lighthouse for maritime orientation.

  3. 3
    Isola Di Molara

We pass the 'Isola Di Molara'. This island with a size of around 10 km² was inhabited from ancient times up to the 20th century.

  4. 4
    Capo Coda Cavallo

3 hr - The Capo Coda Cavallo is pure nature with long white sandy beaches. An ideal place to take a swim and stop for lunch. Here, too, other activities such as stand-up paddle, kayak or snorkeling can be practiced.

An awesome day on the blue sea

We had a great time sailing with Ulrich, his son and Layla (Ulrich’s dog)! The boat was spacious and well appointed. Ulrich took us to some beautiful bays where we could swim/paddle board/snorkel. We had a very nice lunch of pasta and Caprese salad, as well as good local Vermentino wine. It was wonderful to tour the islands off of Olbia, where there was beautiful scenery and the bluest water I have ever seen. The boat holds up to 8 people so it’s a great excursion for couples, individuals or a family as it won’t be overloaded with people. By the end of the day it felt like we were sailing with old friends. Would highly recommend booking a sailing tour with Ulrich!

Amazing experience

We had the most amazing day on Uli's catamaran, along with his crew of his son and Leila the dog. He was so kind and ensured the day was an adventure from the outset at 9am until the return around 6:30pm. Our group, my boyfriend and I, a family from Switzerland and a family from Quebec all became friends as the day went on. The boat was gorgeous and we were able to stop and swim in a few different places and use both the snorkels and paddle boards. It's a must do!

One of the best days of our lives!

This was an absolutely fantastic magical day!! A wonderful mix of utmost relaxation and the offer of adrenaline fuelled fun!! From the first moment our warm and kind hosts Uli and Torben welcomed us on board their beautiful catamaran we couldn't have felt more at ease. We were so lucky to meet such a wonderful group of strangers to start, dear friends by the end, who shared the day and created such magical memories. Having Uli's beautiful well behaved and calm dog Leila, and our youngest fellow guest, 4 year old Henry, enhanced our amazing experience. A morning of gentle cruising brought us to a stunning azure blue bay where we jumped off the boat (after some encouragement!), snorkeled to see the fish, while Uli cooked a delicious meal. After lunch we showed off our paddleboarding prowess (or not!), swam in the 60m deep blue by Isola Tavolara, and spouted like whales whilst being towed through the water at a record-breaking 5.5k knots!

Uli is a good man and...

Uli is a good man and great host- multilingual and multi talented being a captain as well as great chef! His son who helps him out knows the craft as well- be prepared for a long day filled of fun and with water sports- the wind didn’t help out but it was an overall pleasant experience
