We went sailing around La Maddalena and the trip was customized to how long we were willing to stay on the sailboat (since we were all prone to motion sickness) so we made three pitstops which included two beaches (Cala Granara and Cala Conneri-Dell'Amore) both on Isola di Spargi, one of the islands in the Maddalena archipelago- the water was crystal clear and so pleasant to swim in - and Porto Rafael, the unassuming port town that remains hidden from the tourist radar (such a treat!) which was our final stop.
We were also served delicious appetizers and a pasta lunch- with tuna and a tomato/anchovy sauce - (see photos) while on board and some wine! It was my mom's birthday, so the owners Inna and Yuri even provided a cake, which we loved!
Overall, an unforgettable experience that we will always cherish; Mauro and Bruno made it all the more memorable with their kindness and hospitality.
